Executive Director – Ivy Ellis
Prior to joining NWHEAP in September of 2018, Ivy worked for several PHA’s in Illinois as well as HPN Select. At HPN Select, she was the central region business development director. In this role, she was responsible for building the regional business by engaging shareholders and other affordable housing agencies. She has also worked as an Occupancy Manager, where she managed the implementation of project-based voucher conversion in a mixed-income senior building in Carol Stream, IL.
Ms. Ellis has also worked as a Program Coordinator for Cook County Housing Authority, where she specialized in Special Programs such as Homeownership and Family Self Sufficiency. With a passion for community service, Ivy sits on several non-profit boards and volunteers her time tutoring literacy in the Chicagoland area.
Ivy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Spelman College Atlanta, GA, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL.

Program Coordinator – Jasmine Mojica
Raised in the Northwest side of Chicago, Jasmine has always been passionate about the arts. In her high school years, she joined art and environmentalist clubs which conducted a lot of community service. This ignited a spark in her to pursue opportunities to give back to her community while staying in touch with her artistic side. Working in the retail industry taught her the value of customer service. The importance of exceptional support, communication skills, and time-efficient results while contributing her creative touch, a common practice in her roles at Papyrus.
Ms. Mojica’s endeavors led her to realize that many communities, such as hers. Do not only have a need for artistic resources but also lack housing services and mental health aid. This directed her to get certified in first mental health aid and pursue a career that supports the community by providing housing resources. One of her biggest goals is to help individuals with their biggest investments in life, their homes, and minds.
Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Graphic Design from Ashford University, Clinton, IA.
